Kidney Care
The Center for Kidney Care provides high quality, compassionate care to patients with kidney disorders and hypertension (high blood pressure). We care for people who have chronic kidney disease (CKD), advanced kidney failure (called end stage renal disease or ESRD), kidney transplant recipients, patients on dialysis, and anyone who has difficulties with hypertension.

The Nephrologists and Nurses at The Center for Kidney Care offer comprehensive treatment for patients with kidney diseases. Our physicians can diagnose and oversee the care for many kidney problems, and perform kidney biopsies to help diagnose specific problems. Our providers help patients to stop or slow the progress of the disease, keep blood pressure controlled, and relieve patients’ symptoms and improve their quality of life.

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
People can lose kidney function for a variety of reasons. It is important to try to find out about kidney problems as early as possible. There are several laboratory tests which help our physicians to diagnose specific problems and direct our course of treatment. Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) can be helped through a combination of medications, diet and lifestyle changes, treatment of symptoms such as anemia, and regular monitoring by a Nephrologist. The Center for Kidney Care has advanced methods for caring for patients with CKD and our goal is to slow the progress of the disorder.

Hypertension
High blood pressure affects many people, and often they do not know they have a problem. When hypertension is difficult to control, our Nephrologists are experts at evaluating and prescribing the best treatment options that are individualized for each patient. Since high blood pressure can lead to kidney and other organ damage, it is important for patients to have their blood pressure monitored, controlled, and watched closely by a Nephrologist.

Kidney Transplant Recipients
Some of the most successful outcomes in Kidney Care happen when a patient receives a new kidney. Our physicians have worked with hundreds of patients who have received kidney transplants, overseeing their care after the surgery. We also assist patients who have been recommended for a kidney transplant to navigate the process and maintain their care while they wait.

Patients on Dialysis
Kidney disease is sometimes difficult to control, and eventually, patients may need to have artificial blood filtering to supplement their kidney function. All of the providers at The Center for Kidney Care are experts at prescribing dialysis care and following the course of their treatment. Patients can receive dialysis in an outpatient center or at home. Our providers see patients regularly to monitor their dialysis care, adjust medications, and respond to other health care needs. Our physicians provide care for all aspects of dialysis, including hemodialysis (both in-center and home hemodialysis), peritoneal dialysis, and helping dialysis patients plan for kidney transplantation.
